The Mongol Empire Research Network (MERN) is an international collaboration to promote research and teaching about the Chinggisid Mongol Empire and its successor states. It is an independent organisation, currently without any financial backing or corporate identity, that serves to draw together information and individuals from various institutions. The initiatives described in these pages are mostly hosted by official academic institutions. This site, and MERN itself, is simply a warehouse of resources for those interested in the study of Mongol Eurasia.
